MPU players powered their way to victory and took down the Kanoa Football Club, 6-2.

MPU’s speed caught KNFC by surprise as the MP players created an opening early with Maury Tybaco finishing the break for the early lead. KNFC readjusted its defensive tempo, holding off the assault for nearly the entire first half. But MPU was relentless and was able to slip by once again at the 20th minute mark with Audrey Castro joining the scoreboard 2-1.

Despite MPU’s strong start, KNFC players eventually found their footing and returned fire. They built enough momentum during seven minutes of back and forth action before Donna Kapileo struck gold. Lynzey Green followed up a minute later with the team’s second goal to even the score 2-2 before halftime.

Luckily for MPU, its players found their momentum in the second half during which they completely shut down KNFC.

Their continuous push kept KNFC busy defending and leaving Kanoa with no time to retaliate while MPU produced four more goals. It started at the 37th minute mark with Tybaco draining her second goal, and followed it up with one more at the 61st minute mark to extend MPU’s lead. Castro scored two of her own at the 66th and 69th minute marks for a 6-2 victory.

TanHoldings joined the winner’s circle after trouncing the Southern United Football Club, 4-0.
