Blue Eagles’ Preston Basa soared as he connected four consecutive triples in the first quarter while his team gained a 24-8 advantage.

In the second canto, the rest of the Blue Eagles stepped up. Manolo powered his way inside with 11 points, three coming from the free-throw line, while De Guzman and Arcon scored six points.

AK Toyota eventually picked up the pace as Camacho and Brennan started to get a feel for the ball and reduce the deficit to 14 points. But they quickly lost momentum as Basa returned in the third quarter with four triples to give his team a commanding 20-point gap. Even with the Blue Eagles short on players, Basa, Manolo, De Guzman and Schmidt were enough on both ends of the court to maintain the comfortable distance in the final quarter en route to victory, 87-59.

Scores:

Blue Eagles 87 - Basa 27, Manolo 22, De Guzman 14, Schmidt 14, Esmorez 4, Sienna 4, Arcon 2

AK Toyota 59 - Lilles 16, Brennan 13, Camacho 8, Ferrer 5, Seekol 2, Jones 2
