Club president Eden Mercado said the event, “A Walk with a Cancer Survivor,” is scheduled for April 18 at 5 p.m. on Beach Road.
This month, she said club members and officers, started an after-work walk at the track and field of Oleai Sports Complex.
The Lions are inviting other community members to join the walking group.

Mercado said cancer does not discriminate, and can affect everyone.
“But we can fight cancer through a healthy lifestyle while reminding patients and survivors that they are not alone in their battle,” she said. “We listen, we care, and we serve.”
As for the walkathon, Mercado said the Lions are encouraging businesses and community members to sponsor the event.
