LAS VEGAS (GEDA) — The Guam Economic Development Authority  is in Las Vegas, Nevada this week at the ASD Market Week Trade Show promoting Made in Guam products to potential buyers and distributors from across the United States as well as international markets.

“A hallmark of our administration is its unprecedented support for Guam’s small businesses,” Gov. Lou Leon Guerrero said. “Combined with our efforts to diversify our island’s economy, Guam’s small businesses will be key in fueling our island’s economic comeback. We are proud to continue investing in them and ensuring every opportunity for growth both locally and abroad is afforded to them.”

Held twice a year in Las Vegas, the ASD Market Week is the most comprehensive trade show for consumer merchandise in the United States. GEDA is showcasing two local companies, Everything Guam LLC and Denanche’ Brand, as part of its Guam State Trade Expansion Program or STEP. Funded in part by the U.S. Small Business Administration, Guam STEP is intended to assist eligible small businesses enter and succeed in the international marketplace.

“The Denanche’ Brand and Everything Guam LLC are true ambassadors of our CHamoru culture and a great example of the many Made in Guam products offered on our island,” acting Administrator Joann Camacho said. “GEDA continues to make opportunities like the STEP program available to Guam’s small businesses and are firmly committed to supporting our local companies succeed at home and grow their reach internationally.”

Denanche’ Brand, a Guam Product Seal permit holder, is promoting their Denanche’ Brand hot pepper drizzle made with locally grown hot peppers.

“Our experience here has been way beyond my expectations,” said Lenny Fejeran, chief executive officer of Denanche’ Brand. “I never would have imagined direct exposure to over 40,000 buyers. To be alongside our brothers and sisters from the Mariana Islands promoting their businesses made the experience so much more comforting and enjoyable.”

Also a Guam Product Seal permit holder, Everything Guam LLC is promoting their line of gourmet shortbread cooked cookies, hand dipped and individually packaged with care in premium packaging.

"Participating in this trade show has been nothing short of exciting —introducing a taste of Guam through our products to potentially over 40,000 buyers is just such an amazing opportunity,” said Marie Guerrero, managing director for Everything Guam LLC. “We are so proud to represent our island and looking forward to growing our brand. Virtual Export Conference

As part of Guam STEP, GEDA will be hosting a free virtual export conference on Sept. 10, 2021. The purpose of the event is to provide local small businesses and entrepreneurs with the necessary tools and strategies to export to international markets in the current economic climate.
