(DPS) — On Jan. 10, and 12, 2020, the Department of Public Safety received separate reports of two attempted kidnapping incidents in Dandan. Police were dispatched to the scene and met with the callers.

Police patrol units were also immediately dispatched to the area on both dates to conduct a thorough sweep while looking for a suspicious silver/gray sedan. On both occasions, police were unable to locate the vehicle.

Police followed up with both callers and victims on separate occasions, and it was concluded that both reports were false and did not occur.

If you or someone you know have encountered suspicious vehicles in your property or around your village, call 911 to report it. If you would like to remain anonymous, call the CNMI Crime Stoppers hotline at 234-7272.
