DFW director charged with DUI, reckless driving, other infractions

DIVISION of Fish and Wildlife Director Manuel “Manny” M. Pangelinan on June 12, at 8:54 p.m. was cited for driving under the influence, reckless driving, implied consent, and failure to possess a vehicle registration.

According to the traffic citation, Pangelinan was driving a white 2008 Ford pickup in Lower Base when he was pulled over.

No other details were available as of press time Monday evening. Variety was also unable to get a comment from the DFW director.

He is scheduled to appear before Superior Court Presiding Judge Roberto Naraja on July 9 at 8:30 a.m.

DUI is punishable by 72 hours’ imprisonment and a fine of $500 and suspension of the privilege to operate a motor vehicle for not less than 30 days or more than six months.

Reckless driving is punishable by a maximum of $1,000 fine or by imprisonment of not more than six months and the defendant must also attend a course in driver education.
