Governor OKs $109K for Kagman road project

GOVERNOR Ralph DLG Torres on Friday approved House Local Bill 21-43, which appropriates  $109,000 in earned bond interest income and capital improvement project accrued interest income for an asphalt paving project on Kahet Avenue in Kagman 3.

Co-authored by Vice Speaker Lorenzo Deleon Guerrero, Reps. Richard Lizama and Roman Benavente, H.L.B. 21-43 is now Saipan Local Law 21-17.

Its funding sources are $92,655.80 in earned bond interest income and a total of $16,459.16 in CIP bonds accrued interest income.

These were the unused amounts from the $463,279 earned bond interest income appropriated in S.L.L. 21-1 and the $171,040 CIP accrued interest income appropriated in S.L.L. 20-23 for various infrastructure projects on Saipan.
