DPA Car Mart general manager Peng Cheng Wu said he made the right decision when he donated a 2005 Tacoma Access Cab pickup truck to community volunteer Max Aguon two years ago.

"It helps him clean up the island,” Wu said.

On Tuesday, Aguon hosted a birthday party for Wu to express appreciation for the businessman's support.

Wu said he will continue to support  Aguon’s efforts to help preserve the environment by regularly cleaning up beach areas and other tourist destinations.

He is hoping that other community members will join Aguon’s cleanup campaign.

“They can also support Max by disposing their trash properly,” Wu said. "If we all cooperate and follow the law, there will be less work for Max.”
