Early voting starts Oct. 13

FOLLOWING the enactment of Public Law 21-34, which suspends certain election rules to mitigate public health risks in light of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Commonwealth Election Commission said the early voting period for Saipan and the Northern Islands will commence on Oct. 13 and end on Nov. 2, excluding Sundays.

The polling hours will be from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. for voters 55 years or older and people with disabilities, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for all other registered voters.

The early voting polling place for Precinct 1A (San Antonio), Precinct 1B (San Vicente) and Precinct 1C (Koblerville) will be the Koblerville Youth Center.

In Precinct 2, (Chalan Kanoa/Susupe), Precinct 3A (San Jose), Precinct 3B (Garapan), Precinct 4D (Northern Islands) Precinct 6 (Tinian) and Precinct 7 (Rota), the polling place will be the Gov. Pedro P. Tenorio Multi-Purpose Center in Susupe.

For the voters of Precinct 4A (Tanapag), Precinct 4B (San Roque) and Precinct 4C (Capital Hill), the polling place will be the Tanapag Youth Center.

For the voters of Precinct 5 (Kagman), the polling place will be the Kagman Community Center.

The election commission advises voters to bring their photo ID as they will be required to present it in order to be issued a ballot.
