(Press Release) — On Oct. 1, 2020, the Saipan Fil-American Lions Club donated 65 reams of bond paper to three schools in Laguna province, south of Manila, the Philippines: Paciano Rizal Elementary School, Los Banos Central Elementary School, and Los Banos Integrated School.

The club members coordinated the donation through Ms. Venesa Buen.

On Oct. 14, 2020, the club made another donation of 100 reams of bond paper and eight bottles of ink to Giporlos Central School in Giporlos Eastern Samar, in the central Philippines.

These donation helped teachers prepare the modules that they then distributed to their students for blended-learning.

Club president Eden Mercado said she is very grateful to her fellow Lions who stepped up in extending assistance to those who need help.

“Thank you Anna Mercado, Jaime Del Peralta, Mar Masilungan and Malou Masilungan for their generosity — where there is a need, there is a Lion,” Eden Mercado added.
