LATTE Built 24hr Fitness Gym on Monday resumed its Barbell Club that was put on hold due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Conducted by Crossfit Level 1 certified coach Joey Tudela, Barbell Club brings in 10 to 18 people per class which starts at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Latte Built owner Derek Cutting said it is the gym’s most popular class.

Club members complete a daily Workout of the Day presented by Tudela. The workout ranges from strength and mobility focus to metabolic conditioning. Under the guidance of Tudela, club members are taught how to properly perform particular exercises each day.

Cutting said “the class has a strong camaraderie so the members cheer each other on and push each other to break their last record or each other's times.”

He added, "Currently we are only focusing on slowly bringing back our previously offered classes. New classes may be in the gym’s future. One thing we are planning to start later this month is an end-of-year challenge." Participants will pay an entrance fee. If they lose weight or at least maintain their weight through the holidays, they get their money back. The participant who undergoes the biggest transformation will win the grand prize.
