A big well done to Anne-Marie Petty who in February was commissioned as a captain in the U.S. Army Veterinary Corps.  Anna-Marie and her family lived on Saipan for five years. While on island, she attended Saipan International School. In 2010, after graduating from Spotswood College in New Zealand, Anne-Marie did her training at the veterinary school at Massey University which is also in New Zealand. In 2015 she completed her American Veterinary Board exams and took a placement at a mixed animal clinic in North Dakota for six months before moving to Chamberlain, South Dakota for three years. In 2018 she applied to join the U.S. Army and after a long process was finally selected. After her current training she will take up a position at Fort Sill, Oklahoma treating military working dogs and family pets, food safety and public health.
