With tourism as the lifeblood of the economy, the Marianas Visitors Authority, the Saipan Chamber of Commerce and other stakeholders are reminding the community to give a warm welcome to tourists so they will keep coming back.
MVA is forever thinking of ways to increase arrival figures and has boosted its promotions in Japan, Korea and China. MVA has also strengthened the CNMI’s online presence and hosted hundreds of media representatives from key markets.
Moreover, through the Marianas Tourism Education Council, MVA has tapped the youth and created the Marianas Youth Welcome All Visitors Enthusiastically or My WAVE Clubs in schools on Saipan, Tinian and Rota.
The Saipan Chamber of Commerce, for its part, has been welcoming military visitors and their families and aims to make the CNMI a prime destination for rest and recreation for the armed forces.
