The six-week, 36-hour training program began on April 6, 2021, and included six modules which covered topics such as the Nonprofit Toolkit, Board of Directors, Sustainability, Managing the Nonprofit, Strategic Planning, and Financial Management.

MANGO will continue working with this first cohort by providing one-on-one mentoring as organizations complete a strategic plan and in any other area where needs were identified.

This training was made possible by a three-year grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration of the U.S Department of Health and Human Services.

MANGO is a CNMI nonprofit established in 2010 in response to a critical need to provide the nonprofit community of the Commonwealth with guidance on how to register a nonprofit organization with the CNMI and federal governments, obtain tax-exempt status, pursue funding opportunities, and to give the nonprofit sector a collective voice in the community and at local, regional, and international forums. It is locally and regionally recognized as an official umbrella organization for nonprofits in the CNMI.

To become a part of the next cohort, organizations and individuals are encouraged to register as a member at

Membership is free.

Additional trainings for the general nonprofit community are forthcoming.
