BRABU Pharmacy and Wellness Center will offer Covid-19 rapid antigen testing beginning Monday, Sept. 27, at its main location on Middle Road in Gualo Rai.
Covid-19 rapid antigen tests detect the presence of specific viral antigens indicative of an infection with the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
This service will be open to all members of the community between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
The fee for the test will be $48 and, as of now, is not covered by medical insurance.
Payments can be made in cash or with a debit or credit card.
According to Bri Pamparo, PharmD, BCACP of Brabu Pharmacy and Wellness Center, “The testing process is fairly quick and simple. For your convenience, testing will take place in the comfort of your car from our parking lot. When you arrive for testing, please call us at 233-2668. A staff member will come to your car with the required paperwork for you to fill out. Once the paperwork is complete a staff member will come out to complete the test via nasal swab to both nostrils. Results will be presented to you within 15 minutes. You will receive a stamped Certified True Copy paper indicating a positive or negative result.”
In addition to Covid-19 testing, Brabu Pharmacy and Wellness Center is also administering vaccinations, Pamparo added.
“The 2021-2022 influenza, or flu, vaccines have just arrived and we will be administering them without a prescription and without an appointment for patients ages 13 and older,” she said.
To schedule an appointment, call Brabu Pharmacy and Wellness Center at 233-2668.
“We will be offering same day appointments. Please bring picture identification to your appointment. Minors must be accompanied by an adult,” Pamparo said.
