(MVA) — In its latest promotion to attract visitors to the Marianas for edu-tourism, the Marianas Visitors Authority will be participating in the 55th International Education & Career Korea 2024 on April 27 & 28 in Seoul, South Korea.
At the exhibition, MVA will meet with attendees looking for overseas study opportunities and will highlight various English language training programs in the Marianas. An estimated 25,000 people are expected to attend.
“Edu-tourism — and especially the opportunity to learn English — has been a niche market of MVA for decades, and we find it to be growing in popularity through the years,” said MVA Managing Director Christopher A. Concepcion. “Celebrating its 55th anniversary this year, the International Education & Career Fair Korea has had 1.5 million attendees since its inception in 1992, we know it’s a prime opportunity for reaching this market and let them know that the Marianas is the United States — with native English speakers — just 4 and a half hours away from Seoul. We will be introducing a variety of local programs where attendees can enjoy learning English in the relaxed environment and free-spirited culture of our islands.”
The fair provides a platform for exchanging information on overseas study, language courses, internships, employment opportunities, and more. Renowned for its credibility, the fair sees the direct participation of tourism boards, embassies, cultural centers from various countries, as well as school representatives from top institutions worldwide.
Travel agency representatives such as Yellow Balloon Tour and My Real Trip will conduct consultations at the Marianas Visitors Authority booth, offering various benefits including special discounts for on-site bookings. Most English camps in the Marianas offers a fulfilling and enriching schedule where participants attend classes alongside local students at schools throughout Saipan. After classes, participants engage in diverse activities around the island during afterschool hours.
