ON April 24, 2021, the Manta Ray cadets joined the islandwide beach cleanup by picking up litter at Pakpak Beach near PIC.

The service event started at 8 a.m. and ended at 10 a.m. But the cadets arrived at the cleanup location before 8 a.m. in order for the leaders to brief them about the areas that needed to be litter-free. The cadets were also reminded to follow the Covid-19 protocols.

The cadets were split into two groups. Group 1 proceeded toward the left side of the beach, while Group 2 proceeded toward the right side.

While cleaning up, the cadets wore their masks and practiced social-distancing.

After the two groups completed cleaning up their designated areas, they gathered all trash bags that needed to be disposed of.

The Manta Ray cadets are happy to assist in the islandwide efforts to clean up our beaches for everyone to enjoy.
