“I wanted to help Saipan Cares, because they help kids like me take care of our pets, and they give medicine and care to the abandoned, sick animals until a family can adopt them,” said Manglona. “The veterinarians, pet food and medicine all cost money. I want to help.”

Kate has two dogs, Izzy and Buster, and a cat, Tiny, all who received veterinary care and other services from Saipan Cares over the years.

The watercolor, done with her art teacher, Victoria Sewell, is of a green sea turtle, entitled, “Frank.”

Kate will feature her artwork and make it available for sale on Saturday, March 6, 2021 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Marianas Creations in Saipan. Each artwork includes a vibrant watercolor print and are available in either matted or non-matted framing.
