ALL of the Department of Public Safety personnel have received the Covid-19 vaccine, DPS spokesman Dre Pangelinan said.

“I do not have the exact numbers at the moment, but I believe all of our personnel have been vaccinated unless the employee has a doctor’s note stating that [s/he] should be excused,” he added.

DPS has about 180 employees on Saipan, 53 on Rota  and 32 on Tinian.

In February, Gov. Ralph DLG Torres mandated all executive branch employees to obtain the Covid-19 vaccine.

But those who do not want to get the vaccination due to religious beliefs or medical reasons can seek an exemption.

Failure to comply may be a cause for termination.

Among the government’s autonomous agencies, the Commonwealth Ports Authority and the Marianas Visitors Authority have implemented a similar policy.
