JINNOSUKE Suzuki, Juhn Tenorio, Asaka and Shoko Litulumar will represent the CNMI at the 2021 FINA World Championships in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates on Dec. 16- 21.
The four topped the final leg of the Saipan Swim Club Triple Crown Open Water Swim Series on Saturday at Guma Sakman.
Jinnosuke Suzuki dominated the last two of the series and was the top swimmer in the male division.
In the 1000m event, Suzuki rounded the three-lap obstacle with finesse and clocked at 12:27.45.
In second place was Juhn Tenorio with a finish time of 12:55.59.
Two other competitors in the male division — Taiyo Akimaru and Jakey Deleon Guerrero — earned honorable mentions. Akimaru completed the course with a time of 13:50.63 while Deleon Guerrero clocked at 14:33.10.
In the female division, sisters Asaka and Shoko Litulumar were preeminent.
In the final battle, they went head-to-head from start to finish with Asaka finishing first with a time of 14:44.28 while Shoko was second at 14:45.09.
Also competing were Jinie Thompson who cleared the course with a time of 15:00.63 followed by Savita Sikkel who clocked at 15:33.49.
