BEN Jones Jr. is now among the elite of Amigos Golf Club after besting Frank Ermitanio  to earn the October Ace of the Month title on Sunday at the Kingfisher Golf Links.

In the qualifying round held on Sept. 26,  2021, Jones shot a gross of 80 on the front nine. With a handicap of 9, his net score was 71.

In the ace round, he maintained a proper swing to again gross 80 for another net score of 71 and a total net score of 142.

Ermitanio also scored a gross of 80 on the front nine. With a 12 handicap, his net score was 68.

He slightly struggled on the back nine with a gross of 86 which gave him a net of 74, thanks to his 12 handicap, and a total net of 142.

A scorecard playoff on hole #17, which was a par-4,  broke the tie between Jones and Ermitanio.

On hole #17, Ermitanio made a double bogey while Jones Jr. shot a par which gave him the October Ace title. 

The Closest to the Pin winners were also acknowledged. Patrick George took hole #6; Ben Duenas reigned on hole #8; Joe Sablan Jr. was supreme on hole #12; and Tony Satur topped hole #15. Each player received $120 while Duenas and Satur were also given one free game certificate.
