DAVE Celis continues to showcase his experience and skills, this time with a flawless 50-point finish in the Veterans Class of the Marianas Racing Association Points Race Series at Cow Town Raceway Park on Sunday.
Celis has been in control throughout the series, scoring 45 points in each the first three rounds while notching 50 in each of the succeeding two rounds.
Celis's ability to maintain steady speed and control on tight turns has always been his strong suit. After five rounds, he now holds a total of 235 points.
In second place is Cuki Alvarez who has forced Celis to look over his shoulder since the beginning of the series.
In round 5, Alvarez earned 44 points and now has a total score of 220.
Coming in third was Champi Villacanes who has recovered from an injury to collect 40 points.
In the Expert Open Class, Cuki Alvarez placed first in round 5 to collect 47 points. His total score is now 214 points which gives him the top spot.
For his part, Alverick Alvarez settled for second place in round 5 with 45 points while Patrick Santos finished third with 38 points.
In the Novice Class, Corry Pangelinan claimed first place with a perfect 50-point finish in round 5. Henry Camacho Jr. trailed behind in both heats to take second with 44 points while Thomas Reyes was third with 40 points.
As for the Big Boy ATV Class, Henry Camacho powered through for a 50-point finish followed by Rex Susulin with 44 points and Mike Dela Cruz with 40.
In the Power Puff Girls Class, Billie Pangelinan continues to stand tall as she clinched her third first place finish to collect 47 points. Nanako Celis also continues to make her presence known as she finished second with 45 points while Edina Cepeda came in third with 35 points.
