He has clocked in as much miles as possible, recording a total of 88.77 miles as of Dec. 27. Three days later, his total had increased to 103.3 miles.
Anthony Grant, the previous leader, is now in overall second place with a distance of 91.96 miles. Sebastien Manabat follows behind with 54.52 miles while Michiteru Mita has covered 46.2 miles and Christopher Aninzo is fifth overall with a distance of 44.17 miles.
Angeles not only leads the pack, he has also topped the creative challenge for the NMI national soccer players.
In light of NMIFA’s 15th anniversary and recent AFC membership, the NMIFA-Life in the Son Go the Xtra Mile Virtual Challenge hosted a contest for the Most Creative GXM Run/Walk.
Members created their own run/walk using the Strava app that represented or supported NMIFA’s AFC ordinary membership and/or NMIFA’s 15th anniversary.
Wes Bogdan, Patty Coleman and Merlie Tolentino judged the four entries which were submitted without the names of the participants.
After the scores were tallied, Coach Jersh Angeles's unique creation, which depicted a soccer field and the number 15, was selected as the winner of the challenge. He took home the $50 cash prize from NMIFA.
Dylan Mister placed second for his Christmas tree creation that included the letters “AFC.” He received a $25 gift certificate from The Athlete’s Foot donated by Life in the Son.
