Adrian Lubao and Rodney Tomei

Kanoa’s Adrian Lubao fends off Paire’s Rodney Tomei during a U15 Boys Division game of the Youth League Fall 2021 tournament Saturday at the NMI Soccer Training Center.

TANHOLDINGS and Kanoa football clubs blew past their respective adversaries in the U15 Boys Division of the Youth League Fall 2021 Tournament Saturday at the NMI Soccer Training Center.

TanHoldings  showcased their best performance so far by routing Shirley's Football Club 17-0.

THFC started a bit slow but eventually found their stride and overwhelmed Shirley’s with a barrage of goals.

After THFC squeezed in two goals thanks to Anthony Austria and Sernante Jimenez, Shirley’s managed to stop the bleeding.

But THFC soon regained momentum and this time, went all out with nearly all of its players making a contribution.

Austria reignited the flames at the 19th minute mark for his second goal followed by Morico Clarides in the frontline with a hat-trick, draining three goals while Jimenez, Iver Lilles, and Mark Patubo added more goals to give THFC a commanding 9-0 lead by halftime.

In the second half, the tempo did not change for THFC as they continued to score at will — eight more goals, to be exact — while Shirley’s had no answer.

Patubo highlighted THFC’s run as he completed the hat-trick with three more goals along with Anthony Bergancia and Mark Chavez joining the scoreboard while Austria and Jimenez added a few more shots as THFC obliterated Shirley’s 17-0 and collected their  third consecutive win.

Kanoa vs Paire

Kanoa Football Club also notched their third straight win by outplaying Paire Football Club 9-1.

At first, both teams made several exchanges with neither able to gain the upper hand.

However, Kanoa eventually gained a slight edge in the back-and-forth battle that allowed Markus Toves to score the first goal of the game at the 16th minute mark. This was followed by his team-mate Christopher Daickichy's back-to-back goals at the 21st and 22nd minute marks to give Kanoa a 3-0 lead.

In the second half, Kanoa scored six more points. Before Paire went down in defeat, Dyson Danis slipped the team’s only goal at the 68th minute mark as Kanoa sealed the win, 9-1.

The third game of the day was won by MP United Football Club which blanked Matansa Football Club 5-0.
