Changing into or maintaining a healthier lifestyle is made a whole lot easier with local restaurant Caravan in Garapan.

Caravan Owner Salam Younis shows a fresh pick of cucumbers from his farm for Caravan.

Locally owned by Salam and Jihan Younis, it features the world’s most popular healthy cuisine and uses fresh quality ingredients to make sure you are getting all the nutrients you need to be strong and healthy.

Featuring family recipes from the Middle East, Caravan’s menu offers a delightful array of rice plates, sandwiches, wraps and salads with satisfying healthy portions.

“We focus on offering meals that are healthy, delicious and affordable,” said Salam. “We bake our whole wheat Pita breads, Taboon Breads and Wraps daily.”

Caravan’s salads and vegetable sides are prepped daily with some of the produce, such as cucumbers, tomatoes and sweet potato, locally sourced farm to table from Salam’s farm in Dandan.

Shawarma is slow roasted meats on a rotating skewer that allows the meat to be tender, juicy and flavorful. Caravan offers Chicken, Beef and Lamb Shawarma that could be served on a rice plate or as Pita sandwiches.

Hummus, Roasted Eggplant, Tzatziki, Zataar, Cucumber Yogurt, Tabouleh, Green Salad and Sweet Potato Chips are some of the delicious healthy sides that could go with your meal, including Fresh Honey Mint Iced Tea or Calamansi.

A popular vegetarian meal, Falafel, is also offered as a salad or sandwich.

Caravan also offers other traditional dishes, such as Maqlubeh, a vegetable and meat rice dish worth stopping by to try.

Designed as a fast casual dining experience, guests enter, place their orders, pour their drinks while finding a seat. Takeout orders are accepted and could be made by calling 234-0638.

“When it comes to healthy eating, it is so simple with us because you don’t have to figure out if you are getting the best nourishment—you are at Caravan,” said Jihan.

“Even our Date cookies are baked fresh and in small portions with vitamin C enriched Dates filling and our Baklava are filled with healthy pistachios and drizzled with a honey orange glaze. So sweet or savory, we got you covered for a healthy bite,” she smiled.

Caravan is open from Monday to Friday from 8am to 3pm. For more information, follow Caravan on their Instagram and Facebook @caravanoffood or call 234-0638.
