WE Overseas Filipino Workers  in Saipan are waiting for your consular services to cater to our needs such as renewal of passport, renewal of our Overseas Workers Welfare Administration membership, affidavits, among others.

We have been longing for your assistance and physical presence here in Saipan, Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands for the whole year of 2020. While it is true that Covid-19 has restricted government offices from performing official functions and services, here in Saipan, we have nowhere to turn to.

We need your help. A lot of us here in Saipan have expired passports or they are about to expire and must be renewed.

To renew our CW-1 permits, we also need other pertinent documents. You know very well that we cannot process our employment and other official documents without a valid passport. You know that CWs cannot travel to Guam to apply for passport renewal.

It is very unfortunate that due to Coved-19, no consular visit from Guam took place in Saipan in 2020. But there are many ways and means to travel safety by just following Covid-19 travel restrictions and protocols.

It is our hope that our Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs in Manila will allow the Philippine Consulate General’s Office in Guam to prioritize consular services in Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands for this year, 2021.

In 2012, prior to the closure of the Philippine Consulate General’s Office in Saipan, Guam Consulate officials promised that they would exhaust all means to deliver basic services in a timely manner to Filipino nationals in Saipan.

We need your consular services here in the Northern Mariana Islands. Thank you and “Mabuhay”!
