THE product of hard work is always enjoyable and rewarding. But not all of what we do that we think is good will last long.
I am referring to our goats that were stolen many years ago. It seems as if it was just yesterday when that incident happened. Perhaps the person who stole our goats was hungry and needed something to eat. But it made us wonder why the 16 goats that we had were all stolen.
My husband did not give up hope. On the week of June 14th, 2021, he started repairing the goat fence to try raising goats for the second time and maybe this time, nothing bad would happen at the farm. On June 18th, 2021, the goat fence was completed. In less than a week’s time on June 23rd, 2021, one leg of the chain link fence approximately 100 feet was stolen. Just imagine, the hard work of building the fence was gone overnight.
My husband could not afford a chain link material to repair the stolen side of the fence so he used tin instead. It looked so weird that all around was a chain link except for the stolen leg at the entrance to the farm which was made of tin.
We are amazed that someone will do such a thing to us again. If there is anyone out there who has a grudge against us, please let us face each other so we can understand each other and be at peace.
To make the situation worse, on July 12, 2021, the biggest male (Toru) and the biggest female (Baka) goats were stolen. The goats were still adjusting to their new grazing area.
The expenses we incurred for the fence and the purchase of the goats were not that cheap. Like I said, not everything that we put to good use will last long because there are others who do not appreciate it.
We conclude that the person who stole the chain link and the two goats wanted to start his own goat farm. The intention is good but the acquisition is bad.
I truly love the Sacred Heart of Jesus Novena. It says: “Ask and you shall receive; knock and it shall be opened; seek and you shall find.” All this person has to do is ask us and we will be more than glad to share. This person made us feel bad but he will be guilty for the rest of his life until he goes to confession and repent for his bad deeds.
One of the Ten Commandments of God is “Thou shall not steal.” This person disobeyed God’s Commandment. We will be all happy in life if we follow God’s Commandments.
Whoever you are please respect other people’s properties. Turn to God, go to Church and see the light of Christ.
