After a career spent dedicated to MarPac, Jean Sablan is ready to retire.
For 50 years now, the Marianas have enjoyed Budweiser and other Anheuser-Busch products distributed to hotels, restaurants, and retail stores. For over four decades over that same span of time, Jean Sablan has been there to support the company.
Today, Mrs. Sablan is the longest tenured employee at Marpac, beginning her employment in 1979. Jean started as an accounting clerk and moved up.
She shared that she’s been around the office long enough to see manual data input be replaced by a computer. When Marpac began its consumer division selling various health and beauty aids, Jean became a sales representative and later promoted to a sales Manager. Since then, Jean has had the opportunity to grow alongside a company she admires, respects, and loves. Today, she is the Assistant Operations Manager.
In regard to her longevity at the company, she credits a positive work environment and speaks especially highly of the Shimizus—brothers Frank, Joe, and Paul–who recognize that every employee adds value to the company.
