(CUC) — The Commonwealth Utilities Corporation has been notified by Mobil Oil Mariana Islands Inc. that based on the Mean of Platts Singapore, the average international fuel oil price per gallon has slightly decreased.
As a result, the current Fuel Adjustment Charge or FAC rate will decrease from $0.20421 per kWh to $0.19706 per kWh, effective June 1, 2025.
The FAC is one of two components that make up the CUC electric charge, which is strictly for fuel and fuel-related purchases. The second component is the CUC base rate, which has not increased since April 2014 and is used to fund personnel, operations, projects, debt services, and other non-fuel-related expenses.
