GOVERNOR David M. Apatang last week renominated Theodore R. Parker to the Health Care Professions Licensing Board.

Parker, a pharmacist, has represented health-care professionals on the licensing board for many years.

In his appointment letter to Parker, the governor said he and Lt. Gov. Dennis James Mendiola have complete confidence in Parker’s dedication to serving the best interests of the CNMI people. He added that he and the lieutenant governor are grateful for Parker’s willingness to continue serving on the board and are confident that his time and effort will be invaluable to the community.

In a letter to Senate President Karl King-Nabors, the governor said he and the lieutenant governor are confident that Parker possesses the necessary qualifications and will continue to dedicate his time and effort to the board.

CEDA nominations

The governor also nominated Trade Council of the Marianas President Matthew B. Stuart, a.k.a. Vin Armani, and U.S. Customs & Border Protection officer Jessie Bert Manglona to the Commonwealth Economic Development Authority Board of Directors.

Stuart will represent Saipan, while Manglona will represent Rota on the CEDA board.

In separate letters to King-Nabors, the governor said he and the lieutenant governor are confident that Stuart and Manglona will uphold the mandate and goals of CEDA to further stimulate economic activity in the Commonwealth.
