Man accused of sexually assaulting girl

HAGÅTÑA (The Guam Daily Post) — A 34-year-old man was accused of sexually assaulting a female minor when she was 9 years old and again when she was 12 years old.

On Feb. 22, Guam Police Department officers responded to a criminal sexual conduct complaint reported at a local middle school and met with a 14-year-old girl who accused Kason Andon of sexually assaulting her.

According to a magistrate’s complaint, the girl told officers that when she was about 9 years old, Andon sexually assaulted her while she was lying down in a tent in Dededo. The girl, in response, moved Andon’s hand away, but after Andon allegedly sexually assaulted her.

Then, when the victim was 12 years old, in February 2023, Andon allegedly pushed the victim against a wall at a Barrigada apartment. The push caused the victim to hit her head and fall to the floor. Andon allegedly picked her up by the legs and another male, identified as “Suspect 2” in the complaint, picked her up by the arms and dragged her to a bed, the complaint stated.

The victim recalled seeing the second man lock the door and come back to the bed, where Andon and the second man took off the minor’s shorts. While on the bed, Andon allegedly raped her and when the victim started screaming for help, the second man also sexually assaulted the minor, which caused her to “gag a couple of times,” the complaint stated.

The victim told officers she had to close her eyes because of the pain, according to the complaint.

Andon was on pretrial release for a 2017 felony case and was arrested around 3:30 a.m. Sunday. The second man has not been located, the complaint filed on Monday stated.

Andon was charged with first- and second-degree criminal sexual conduct as first-degree felonies, with notice of commission of a felony while on felony release attached to the charges.
