CNMI DOL’s Division of Employment Services relocates to 1323 Ascension Drive; plans for CNMI One-Stop Job Center underway

THE CNMI Department of Labor’s Division of Employment Services has relocated to a newly renovated building at 1323 Ascension Drive on Capital Hill. The newly renovated building was designed  to  enhance  services  offered  to  the  public  and  build  capacity  within  the  division. Funding for this project was made possible by the Department of the Interior, the Office of the Governor, and the Office of Grants Management.

The CNMI Department of Labor also plans to transform the division’s previous location at Building 1334  into  a  comprehensive  One-Stop  CNMI  Job Center. This project aims to revitalize the building into a dynamic hub for workforce development, offering a comprehensive range of employment services and resources under one roof.

According to CNMI Labor Secretary Leila Staffler, “The renovated center will feature a state-of-the-art facility and knowledgeable staff dedicated to helping individuals navigate the job market and achieve their career goals.”

Once completed, the renovated center will provide job seekers with access to job placement assistance, career counseling, skills training programs, résumé workshops, and networking opportunities.  Employers  will  also  benefit  from  services  such  as  recruitment  assistance, workforce training, and business support.

“The CNMI One-Stop Job Center will serve as a beacon of hope and opportunity for individuals seeking to enhance their career prospects and contribute to the local economy,” said Secretary Staffler.  “Stay  tuned  for  updates  as  we  work  towards creating a vibrant hub for workforce development in our community,” Staffler said.

The CNMI Department  of  Labor said it  is  committed  to  fostering  economic  growth  and  empowering individuals to reach their full potential.
