THE CNMI Department of Labor’s Division of Employment Services has relocated to a newly renovated building at 1323 Ascension Drive on Capital Hill. The newly renovated building was designed to enhance services offered to the public and build capacity within the division. Funding for this project was made possible by the Department of the Interior, the Office of the Governor, and the Office of Grants Management.
The CNMI Department of Labor also plans to transform the division’s previous location at Building 1334 into a comprehensive One-Stop CNMI Job Center. This project aims to revitalize the building into a dynamic hub for workforce development, offering a comprehensive range of employment services and resources under one roof.
According to CNMI Labor Secretary Leila Staffler, “The renovated center will feature a state-of-the-art facility and knowledgeable staff dedicated to helping individuals navigate the job market and achieve their career goals.”
Once completed, the renovated center will provide job seekers with access to job placement assistance, career counseling, skills training programs, résumé workshops, and networking opportunities. Employers will also benefit from services such as recruitment assistance, workforce training, and business support.
“The CNMI One-Stop Job Center will serve as a beacon of hope and opportunity for individuals seeking to enhance their career prospects and contribute to the local economy,” said Secretary Staffler. “Stay tuned for updates as we work towards creating a vibrant hub for workforce development in our community,” Staffler said.
The CNMI Department of Labor said it is committed to fostering economic growth and empowering individuals to reach their full potential.
