An arrest warrant was also issued for Helen Dayawon Camacho, 51, who left for the Philippines on Aug.12, 2011.
Villagomez returned to Saipan almost a month ago, police said.
Villagomez and Camacho were staffers at Freedom Air aviation services, according to court records.
Detective Melissa M. Bauleong responded to a theft incident at the Freedom Air aviation services at the cargo area of the Francisco C. Ada/Saipan International Airport on Aug. 23, 2011.
Police met Freedom Air station manager Dennis Cruz on Aug. 9, 2011 after a staffer tasked to review the inbound and outbound manifest from Saipan to Tinian discovered there were discrepancies on some of the passenger manifests. Several manifests did not have tickets attached to them and the tickets that customers had purchased were voided.
Police said Camacho had admitted to Cruz that the defendant had taken tickets that were sold to customers, but did not log them into the manifest.
Camacho voided the tickets and took the money, police said.
Camacho further told Cruz that she got the tickets from Rellanita Villagomez, who was off-island at the time the incident was reported, police said.
On Nov. 17, 2011, police learned from Freedom Air that Rellanita Villagomez had returned to the island almost a month ago, and had not reported to, or called her work since then.
She was the person in-charge of all the incoming Freedom Air tickets for the Saipan station and agency tickets for Saipan.
Police further learned from Freedom Air that there were other manifests voided and tickets that were being logged in as missing but were being sold to customers.
Camacho issued those tickets, police said.
It was not mentioned in the investigation how much money was stolen in this scheme.
Wiseman reduced Villagomez’s bail to $2,500 from the original $5,000.
He also allowed Villagomez to post $250 representing 10 percent of the bail, and the $2,250 remainder as unsecured bond. She was released to Frank Villagomez as her third party custodian.
Rellanita Villagomez was arrested on Tuesday night in Dandan and will return to court on Dec. 12, 2011 for her arraignment.
She is represented by attorney Edward Manibusan.
Assistant Attorney General Eileen Wisor represented the government during Rellanita Villagomez’s initial appearance and bail hearing yesterday morning.
