Rocball News Release

After the second round of Marianas High School’s annual Rocball games two teams are tied for first place with a 2 win record and 2 teams are tied for second place with a 1 win and I loss record, and two teams are tied for third placed with 2 losses and no wins. Teams Campeones and the Manamkos are tied for first place.

The top heavy hitting teams who scored the most multiple points plays of the practice games and league competition were the Divas with 24 aces (a served ball that was hit once and grounded before another player could touch the served ball), 1 jam (spiking down a served ball at the net), 1 kee (the Goalie of a team scoring from the ten foot line of the net), and 7 goals (3 point scoring techniques for goals located behind each court) for 72 points and team Campeones scored 19 aces, 5 xunks, and 2 goals for 64 points.

The top scoring heavy hitter of the league was Jasper Hall of the Divas with 12 aces, 1 jam, 1 backcourt kee, and 4 goals for 39 points. Zenn Tomokane of the CGU32 team is a notable mention for the 4 goals he has scored in four games. Jasper is one of the only two players from last year that scored in all of Rocball six categories of play; court, ace, xunk, jam, kee, and goals.
