Constant bursts of baskets from Zach Diaz, Alex Lauron, and Jhun Park’s did the job, holding Blue Haus off just in time before losing their six point lead in the fourth quarter.
Blue Haus fell behind, 37-32 by halftime and found no luck in the third quarter after slamming to Diaz and Park in the offense.
Slowly but surely, Alex Lauron secured the second half with 11 of his 15 points, squeezing shots between Jun Abedes and Brandon Talania.
Diaz added six for 11 overall while Mike Palacios, Ben Lisua, and Dexter Tenorio scored eight each.
Despite a few faulty plays, Blue Haus picked up speed and fought their way to a three-point deficit.
MDX secured possession after a final timeout and surged nine points while absorbing attacks from Talania and team captain Marlon Sison.
Tenorio fired a layup, Zach Babauta tipped in two-points, and Lauron landed a hook shot to foil Blue Haus’ comeback in the closing 50 seconds.
Sison garnered 12 of his 16 points in the second half and Talania top scored with 17. Abedes, who posted seven from the first quarter, came up empty on his three last attempts.
DLX games officially started on Sunday, with the opening game between Pacific Postal and SCS. The match was postponed 6:16 into the final quarter due to rain. The game will be continued at a later date according to officials.

Edwin Santos, Junar Guiab, Jun Tabora, and Pete Lizama’s well-built defense controlled the court, with each posting double digits last Monday.
Tabora, who piled 25 points, broke through Konstrak’s defense in the third quarter and scored 10 to spark Wushin’s winning rally.
Team Konstrak — driven by Jhun Estolas — didn’t stray far behind in the first half and erased a one-point deficit to tie the game, 32-32.
Guiab and Lizama however, forced Konstrak of momentum on run-and-gun plays and tallied 10 points to hand Wushin a 58-46 lead.
A fourth quarter assault wasn’t enough for Estolas and Joyner, who scored 16 of Konstrak’s last 18 points.
Lizama trailed Tabora with 17 points and Guiab and Santos posted 14 apiece. Dick Tibayan, George Villasan, and Henry De Jesus added 12.
