THE Saipan Chamber of Commerce proudly marks the one-month milestone of its Career Pathways Internship Program or CPIP, a dynamic workforce development initiative in collaboration with the Public School System.
The CPIP connects high school juniors and seniors with public and private sector businesses throughout the CNMI, providing hands-on experience and helping students explore career interests while building essential professional skills.
During recent site visits, SCC observed firsthand the impressive progress of interns. In just one month, participants have meaningfully engaged in their roles, contributing to their respective organizations and gaining valuable workplace experience.
SCC extends sincere gratitude to its industry partners for Cohort 1, whose support has been instrumental to the program’s success: Paradise Dental Spa, Commonwealth Communications, Northern Marianas Technical Institute, Marpac Distributors Inc., the CNMI Department of Labor, AP Group LLC, American Memorial Park, Crowne Plaza Resort Saipan, IT&E Saipan, Pacifica Insurance Underwriters Inc., CNMI Department of Finance, 500 Sails, Saipan Humane Society, and the Department of Community and Cultural Affairs-Rota.
Applications for Cohort 2 are still open
The Career Pathways Internship Program is currently accepting applications for Cohort 2. The program is open to motivated high school juniors and seniors who must obtain recommendation of approval and application from their school counselor. Students can choose from internship durations of 3, 6, or 9 months.
Application deadline: Friday, May 30, 2025.
This is an excellent opportunity for students to gain real-world skills and build valuable professional connections while still in school.
Interested industry partners are encouraged to reach out to Chamber CPIP Internship Coordinator Rain Ni at r.ni@saipanchamber.org or call the Saipan Chamber of Commerce at (670) 234-7150 for more information.
